Laboratory Automation¶
Sample handling, and the connection to the systems a laboratory already runs. This is where robotics stops being about robots: a transport that the laboratory information system does not know about has not helped anyone.
What belongs to this capability¶
The LIS connection — CLSI LIS 1-A and LIS 2-A over TCP/IP; the uLab cobots, stationary and mobile, for pre-analytics; the device couplings to laboratory instruments.
A note on scope that matters for a public page: what is documented here is the protocol, not the field layout of any particular laboratory. Those stay with the site specifications.

The pages below this one are being written. Each says where its material lives today and which stage it is planned for. See Integration Status for what is reachable through the platform right now.
